North Downs Way Guidebook

£ 16.00

The 2023 edition of the Frances Lincoln official guidebook for the North Downs Way National Trail written by Colin Saunders.

The North Downs Way follows a chalk ridge across south-eat England for 125 miles (200km) from Farnham in Surrey to Dover in Kent. It is a magnificently varied and surprisingly tranquil journey, rising to sweeping vistas from viewpoints including Newlands Corner, St Martha's Hill and the Wye Downs. Much of it follows the Pilgrims Way. Produced in 2023, this up to date guidebook provides everything you need to enjoy this popular trail.

This new edition has been updated to include a wealth of new information, turning a scenic walk into a truly educative and enlightening experience. It includes sections on the flora and fauna of the North Downs Way and on the human history of its landscape - from the Battle of Britain to the Kent miners.

The North Downs Way is well served by trains, and can be walked as a series of day walks from London using the train. The guidebook provides links to the rail way stations for every section. The result is a complete companion to the Trail for today's walker.

This North Downs Way guidebook includes:

  • Ordnance Survey 1:25 000 mapping for the entire route
  • Railway station links throughout
  • Places of interest, refreshments, accommodation and public transport information
  • History, archaeology and wildlife
  • Colour photography throughout
